I had a blast making this - I badly need to replenish my supply of Scripture cards and thought I could easily work that in with Nancy's challenge. I mostly followed the Layered Gesso Background tutorial, though instead of using a metallic finish, I just brushed in a second colour of paint (I used buff titanium and a light blue, which I also used to paint the matting circle. I mixed yellow pigments with the modelling paste and used that through the rays stencil, and when that was dry, I sponged green distress ink through the leaf stencil. I added some fun stitching details to make a little grassy garden for my snail, and pulled out some old Prima flowers. I added Stickles to the edges of the sun rays, and a brown paint border all the way round. Sentiment is simply stamped on white card and matted and layered. To finish my garden off I added the snail, coloured with pencils and with his shell glazed with Glossy Accents.

Super fun card with that awsome layered gesso technique. The garden and snail along the bottom are adorable. The rays of the sun are perfect with the inspirational sentiment.
