This is my sample for CC593. Karen is our hostess and she chose sweet sugarplum, dapper denim and cucumber crush as her color trio. Dessert this week is 2 step stamping. I skipped dessert this week.
It felt good being in my craft room and creating today. We were away at the Isle of Palms in South Carolina last week so there was no card from me for Vicki's challenge. It was a great week of sun, beach and family time.
For my card this week, I decided to go for Christmas. I like making cards with non-traditional colors for Christmas and these colors worked well for me. I started with my layout which is this week's MojoMonday #458.
The background paper is from the Stampin'-Up 2016-2018 in-color dsp pack. I think diagonal stripes look good for a Christmas card. On the next layer I used dapper denim cardstock, the MFT falling snow stencil and 3-D molding paste.
Since my snowman image is white, I decided to use smokey slate for the background panel. The snowman and lamp post dies are a little sneak peak of some new Christmas dies that will be released by CottageCutz soon. I cut the snowman in white mixed media paper and then did some paper piecing and die in-laying with sweet sugarplum, dapper denim and choc chip. The snow bank is part of this new die set.
The Merry Christmas Ribbon sentiment is also part of the new Christmas dies from CottageCutz. I added a few stars cut in dapper denim to complete my card. I have another Christmas card for my stash now.
Hope you can play along with us this week. You may be our next fave and have you card featured on our highly viewed Pinterest Board. See that here. Check out the other DT samples for more inspiration.

These colors work so well for your scene, Mary! Love the different pp you chose in the navy and how the sweet snowman's accessories coordinate with the lamp-post!!
