Was inspired by some rainbow word cards Kecia (LittleSeaOtter) made recently and had to give it a whirl myself.
I first cut the black panel using an MFT stitched rectangle die. Then I die cut the word "smile" out of the stitched panel. I already had another one from a prior project cut from Bazzill Diamond cardstock. Colored the word die using Copic Markers: R17, Y38, Y15, YG07, B12 and V15. Inlaid the rainbow word into the cut black panel.
Next I used the same die to cut through 2 pieces of white cardstock - one plain and one from Bazzill Diamond cardstock. I cut them together so that my aperture would line up. Layered my white mat to a black top folding base and then inlaid my word panel.
Ran over the words with some clear Wink of Stella to refresh some of the shimmer that was lost by coloring. IRL, it sparkles quite nicely.
This will get added to my Send a Smile happy mail stash.
TFL! And thanks, Kecia, for the inspiration!
