I made this for two challenges. The sketch and ways to use challenged us to use stripes. I found this image saved on my mom's computer and fell in love with it. I am so ready for the BEACH!! Lord willing, I will find myself there soon! Anyway, I colored with crazy art pencils. The upper left panel is a paint chip that I trimmed and embossed using darice lines folder. I pulled out this striped paper a couple of weeks ago, but it didn't work for what I wanted then, but I've been itching to use it ever since. So, here it is.... I love the colors in it. I crimped a piece of my base layer and added some coordinating ribbon over top with a starfish gem.
These were both very fun and easy sketches....which works great for me 'cause summer is so busy!
thanks so much for looking!

Great card! You combine a lot of fun, pretty elements and two challenges. It's a winner! Love all the stripes - paper, crimping, embossing. The colors go nicely with the image. Well done! TFS

That is a great image. I like all the texture on this with the embossed panel and the crimped border piece. That little starfish is a cute accent.Fun card. I hope you're enjoying your summer and can make it to the beach sometime soon. ;)

That is a beautiful pelican image with those lovely flowers and lake/ocean in the background. Great colouring and great use of the striped papers. Go enjoy the beach. I will be missing my beach trip this coming week, as I have come down with a bad summer cold and my host has just gone through 10 rounds of chemo. Maybe in August.
