| | I made this birthday card for my dear friend Loretta (yes, she got 2 cards this year- one for her actual day and 1 later at a bday party). Loretta's birthday is in the spring when we are all so done with winter we can hardly do it anymore so I thought these happy coneflowers were the perfect thing for an early spring birthday. This stamp practically colored itself it was so fun and easy to do. I dabbed the tip of a stardusst jelly roll pen on the tops of the cones so there is a hint of sparkle, but it does not show up in the photo. I cut 3 of the coneflower heads out partially by hand so I could lift them up before die cutting out the rectangle base so they hang over the edge a bit. Cut out the birthday sentiment and stamped the word wishes, then layered up with the lattice die. This card was a true delight to make. |
