Ryan is 9 and finished his sidewalk chalk card. You can read the description here. He and I used the same background and stamp set but his is much more imaginative. It was his idea to use the bee and stitch the bee trail as well as use a homemade template I had to stitch the side border. He had to measure his own mats, cut and mount. He struggled with the fractions but did it. Thanks to Undu, mounting is easy since it lets you slide around the artwork a bit to make sure it's straight even with ATG tape and does not damage paper. He added wink of stella to the bees wings and petals. We had so much fun doing these. Thanks Ryan for a great technique!

Oh, what a fun, whimsical card this is. I am still hooting over Ryan taking a hose to this. My goodness, I cannot image what the look on your face must have been when he did that. This grinning bee is so adorable, and I love how the flower is leaning over to the bee. The faux and real stitching are just brilliant touches, and the wink of stella really brings this card to life. Thank you for sharing this fabulous story - I love it - and this wonderful card too!

Love his independence, AND his background! So clever; I love the whimsical bee with his stitched trail. What a fabulous influence you are, and it's so cool that he takes it to heart. Plus the terrific memories that you're making together- awesome!
