Masked off my main section and then used masking and sponging to create this one layer christmas card. Love this technique and love that moment when you take off the mask (I use painter's tape - applied to my pants several times first so it's not so sticky and doesn't rip the cs), and see the final scene! My tree in the foreground seemed pretty dense, so I added a bit of white gel pen to lighten it. Stamped the sentiment to go slightly outside the scene.

Maura, this is absolutely GORGEOUS! I always love to see winter skies that aren't gray! Beautiful job on the snow drifts and love the shadows you created. Amazing card and what a powerful impact it has! Did I mention this is gorgeous??
