This is the card I made to honor Rita (scootsv), our featured stamper this week. Congratulations, Rita, for an honor truly deserved! What a fabulous gallery!
When I saw this wonderful card, it brought to mind a project I had abandoned. Thanks for the inspiration to get it out and do something with it, Rita!
I'm sure this technique has a name, but you stamp with VersaMark on glossy cs, sponge ink over the image, and stamp the image again with Stazon. I die cut the word "happy" and backed with a piece of acrylic. I backed the image piece with a piece of black craft foam that had a rectangle cut out of it to match up with "happy", added the beads - a few too many! - and put another piece of acrylic over the cutout to seal in the beads. The shaker was matted with black cs and attached to the card base.
I added the die cut "Birthday", and a small flower and butterfly. Since there were stray beads on my work table (of course), I used a pokey tool to add one to the flower center and butterfly.
I hope you like my take on your spritzed flower, Rita.
As always, thanks for looking!

WOW, Jody this is FABULOUS!!! So much great technique and it all holds cohesively together so well!!! I'm afraid I don't totally understand your bead technique on the "happy", but it looks AMAZING, hopefully I can find a tutorial to explain it because it is wonderful!!! This card combines the stunning floral image along with these neat tiny beads in your sentiment, and it really is terrific. But then your cards are always exceptional!!!
This has to go into my favorites, so I can look at it again and again!!!

WOW! Gorgeous card and that was in your UFO box? Glad you used it because it's just too beautiful too hide. Love the techniques you used to create the greeting and no, definitely not too many beads. It enhances it perfectly. Love the colors too!

I bought this stamp about a month ago and have been surprised at how many different ways it can be used. This is beautiful! I've never heard of this technique before. Beautiful, soft back ground.

Wow, this is so soft and yet so bold and beautiful at the same time! I am not familiar with this technique - it makes for a stunning design. Especially with the soft pinks and greens that you've used here. Wonderful CASE, beautifully done!

Even though your narrative is very detailed, I never know how you do what you do. This card is just beautiful, Jody Lynn and I'm confident Rita will love your work and appreciate your acknowledging her long over due FS acknowledgment. gorgeous everything here.

Jody, This IS GORGEOUS! I love your sponging with the pinks behind the flowers and the greens surrounding it! Then I too do no understand the rest, but what ever you did, ALL of it, makes for one wonderful card. Thanks for the nice comment and for taking the time to make a CASE card for my 'Featured Stamper' week! tfs!

Jody, this is gorgeous! I don't think you've added too many beads - I like that fullness! I have this stamp set and it's never seen ink. Thanks for the reminder!
