This is actually my 3rd attempt at this artform - the first 2 were disasters. But I don't give up . . .
First I cut strips of Black & white cardstock sized to fit my card front (in retrospect, I should have stamped on larger pieces and trimmed to fit later) Then I stamped & embossed the butterfly - white on black then vice- versa. Punched out the 3 nesting stars in both colors - carefully cut them in half and then re-nested them flip flopping the colors. Actually a very versatile card depending what greeting you put inside.

I'm so glad you kept going, it looks great with the technique. The stars add nice balance to the butterfly in the center. Great job, thank you for sharing!
