The brick wall is made using the Canvas stamp and antique linen ink, then stamping over this with the brick stamp and really rust ink. This gives the bricks some texture. Die cut the flower pieces, stamped them, inked them, molded them and assembled them into the flower head. Stamped the stem onto the brick wall and adhered the flower head. This color combination was not working for me at all so I threw it all in a box and walked away from it. A few months later I was talking to my friend Dawn about this and she suggested a few things so I pulled this back out and tried a few things. In the end, adding the black layer with the scalloped border looked the best.

Thanks for describing how you did that really cool brick! What an awesome background! The flower is gorgeous with the addition of forming it, something that I do not do well. Gorgeous card!

The brick wall you've created is very realistic and impressive! Love the flower you constructed and the fabulous black lacy border. Your friend steered you in the right direction!
