This card was filled with happy dances. First of all I finally figured out how to make use of the distress inks. If I canÂ’t get the hang of sponging, atleast I can make beautiful backgrounds now.
I was trying to do sponging with my salty ocean distress ink when I accidentally ended up making a beautiful background. That inspired me to get the red brick ink out and I made this background.
I wanted to make a card for my brotherÂ’s anniversary. I google red background cards and it showed me this beautiful card (which I obviously cased). Added a bit of hearts and glitter and attached the black frame and the heat embossed celebrate sentiment with glue dots to give a dimensional effect.. For the black frame I used Flourish Hero Arts background stamp and then went in with a white pen and highlighted all of it. I wanted to add a bit of sequins too but couldnÂ’t figure out how, so just left it as it.
This card took me quite some time especially highlighting the background stamp with white pen, but I enjoyed every step that I did. Thats what card making is all about, right?
TFL!
