Hello, sweet friends! I hope all our U.S. friends had a fun and safe Fourth of July. I had fun coloring this newly remixed digital image, and I also learned a new word - to me, anyway - but my DH the avid reader knew it. In the center is a skep, and it's amazing to see how they are hand woven. I enjoyed coloring the foxgloves and cosmos, along with the skep. (As an aside, for those of you who loved "Downton Abbey," Highclere Castle is where it was filmed. And Lord and Lady Carnarvon own it, and Lady Carnarvon has a blog. Here is the post about a new skep on the estate. It's actually quite an amazing blog and website that could easily keep one busy for many hours. Here's the main website to keep you enthralled. But I digress, so back to my card.
As I searched for a piece of DP, I came upon this adorable piece in a paper pad with these chubby little bees. Aren't they sweet? I am allergic to bees, so I stay clear of them IRL, but these were irresistible and helped me with my color combination. I used a stitched die and matted it with So Saffron, and then I thought it needed something else. I wanted to add this pretty taffeta ribbon, and wow did I fight with this bow! But, for the most part, I think I won. Haha!
Anyway, thanks for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you like it. Have a wonderful rest of the week.

Very sweet (pun intended referencing honey) card and your coloring is so pretty! I love that bee paper..isn't it fun when you find the perfect paper or embellishment to go on a card. Thanks for the links to Highclere Castle...of course I'm a Downton Abbey fan..going through withdrawal right now.

You did, indeed, win the battle with the ribbon, my sweet friend. I still love ribbon on cards and all take great delight on seeing them on cards. It seems, sadly, stampers don't use much ribbon anymore. No, I've never heard the word skep either. You've colored, again, your image with clarity and depth of color value. Beautiful shading, as well. It's has your name all over in big huge letters, my friend. It's definitely your card, one of a kind.

I always look at the images you color so beautifully and I am intrigued by the complexity of them as well as the small areas you manage to shade! Anxiously awaiting my copic lessons next year! Wow, Cheryl, this one is just gorgeous!

The coloring on this magnificent piece of art is remarkable, my sweet, special friend, Cheryl!! I love the bee designer paper and the ribbon that is so delicately wrapped around the center piece and tied into a gorgeous bow (yes, you won!!). I love your artwork as each piece is so striking!

You've been a busy crafter since I visited. Your card is a beauty, as usual. Love your yellow bow. Thanks for the printer info. I did do that a long time ago and it worked just fine. I need to try it again with my watercolor paper.
