I made my first altered book in April, here it is F4A322 Heaven for Dolly by f.schles at Splitcoaststampers and enjoyed making it so much that I decided to make another. For the CTO616 to use angles, there are angles in the corners. The steps down to the sand are at an angle and the boat on the sand is angled in the opposite direction. It is pretty easy to see that it is a beach scene for the F4A332. The background is one part of a scene stamp. The steps are part of another stamp, and the boat is fussy cut from a third stamp. I mixed real sand with modeling paste to make the sandy area. I used the faux wood technique to cover the front of the book. When I was thinking of what to make for the beach theme I was planning to make someone reading at the beach...instead I put the beach inside of the book. As usual, I got a little carried away. Francie, I love when you get carried away. Your scene is amazing and I'm sure even more so in real life. There's so much to love about this. Here are a few of my favorites, the text peeking through the clouds, the depth of the scene and your marvelous frame. Faved and pinned!!

This is just awesome!!! I keep staring at it and can't believe it is a book (well, I do *believe* it because you said so) but it looks so much like a framed piece of art. Truly amazing!! Thanks for sharing.

Oh, Francie, I agree with Robin that I have no words to adequately express how WOW this is! I am in awe of the beauty of it and the intricacy. You are amazing and so very gifted. The depth you've achieved is amazing, and I feel more and more drawn into this shadowbox! Absolutely and completely stunning, Francie! Big hugs, sweet friend!

Settle down. Take a deep breath. Ah, to sit at this screen and see this work of art is the perfect way to end my Friday. Francie, you have such a great following here on SCS and for good reason. Despite your silly and fun commentaries, there's a beautifully skilled artist behind these works. incredible from beginning to end. There isn't one thing missing from your scene and, as a matter of fact, everything is placed strategically in its proper place. Just extraordinary work, my friend.
