The Tim Holtz butterfly stamp just happens to have four butterflies so is perfect for the Ways to Use It challenge that asked us "Are you four it?" - use four in any way that makes sense. I'm also adding it to last week's CAS challenge "Wing It" - birds, bees, or butterflies.
I stamped and heat embossed the butterflies in gold on coated cs.
Then I sponged Antique Linen and Old Paper Distress inks around the butterflies to tone down the white of the cs.
I spritzed carefully just in certain spots around the butterflies and sprinkled black Brushos on the wet spots. I used my waterbrush to move it around a bit more. And yes, it was BLACK Brushos - amazing the colour it came out, perhaps influenced by the Distress inks underneath it. Whatever it was, I really like how it came out.
I added the butterfly panel to a black cs background with the vertical sentiment stamped and heat embossed in the same gold. The cardbase is cream cs.

Love your bright gold embossed images, Susan! I too tried the black and it's outstanding! It's the Brushos that did that, not black as you'd suspect. Love the background you created for your images too. Mounting on a black card base was so perfect for this. Beautiful card!

I'm just seeing this now, Susan, and I'm loving it! Love the gold and black and the lightly watercolored bg - so pretty! Like the vertical sentiment too. Faved.
