IÂ’m your hostess this week in the Color Challenge, and IÂ’ve chosen Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant and Island Indigo. The dessert option this week is to use Ribbon on your card.
We on the CC team are sad this week, as we say good-bye to one of our Color Divas, Peggy (pegmac71). Peggy, we are so sorry to see you leave our team, but we know there are wonderful things in your future. Please stay in touch. WeÂ’re gonna miss you SO much! IÂ’m dedicating my cards this week to Peggy.
This card is a CASE of one I saw on Pinterest, using different colors. I thought it was so pretty, I wanted to see if I could use this weekÂ’s colors and blend them. I am pleased with the results! I love putting ribbon on my cards, but this week I was able to make it work on only one out of two, and only passably, at that (the original didnÂ’t have ribbon).
I masked off a 2” wide strip on the card, then stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I sponged each color in turn, overlapping slightly. Removed the Post-It tape, stamped the sentiment, and clear embossed. Added pearls and ribbon and layered on Island Indigo and then popped up on a white card base.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week. We choose our Guest Designers from the weekly favorites!

Barbara, this is gorgeous. Your ombre technique on that panel is elegant. You made those colors come to life with that white EP. Stunning and elegant personifies what you've created here.

I love this, Barbara! Great job on blending the colors - now I am wishing that I had blended mine in a different order after seeing how yours work so well together. Great job!!

I especially love the looks of these colors blended together on this strip and against the white it just pops. Such an eye cather!

This is gorgeous! I was also thinking of an ombre effect; the colors are so rich together!
Beautiful tribute to the talented Peggy!
