Peggy is our hostess this week in the Color Challenge, and she has given us the combination of Perfect Plum, Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette. The dessert option is to use or make your own Designer Paper. I qualified for desert this week by placing some pink/purple DS “wallpaper” behind my window.
I used my new MFT Blueprints 29 as the basis for my layout, and created a scene for my kitten to take a nap with her ball of yarn. She is dreaming of her dinner, while her catnip mouse toy waits nearby.
I stamped, then cut out the images with my Silhouette Portrait, and colored them with Copic markers in shades of slate, pink and plum. Added some dimension with foam tape and a window sheet, and tucked in some sequins in this weekÂ’s colors, just for fun!
The sentiment piece started as white, and I brushed it with Dusty Concord Distress Ink and a Clarity Stencil Brush, stamped and die cut. Sponged the edges of the white card base with Perfect Plum and put everything together.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

This is so sweet, Barbara! I actually have this die in my card right now - love how it can be used for little scenes like this! Great job, my MFT-loving friend!! (Too bad we don't live by each other so we could share!)

Your card is just too darn adorable, Barbara! LOVE the kitty dream of fish and the little mouse scooting along the window pane while the unsuspecting "cat nap" occurs. Beautiful coloring as always!
