So I decided to try out some more stamping with Distress stains. This took a few tries to get right, since it's such an intricate stamp. The less even coverage of the stain definitely gives it a watercolor look. I hated to cover up much of the background, so I kept the sentiment super simple. I was just going to stamp it on vellum, but it was hard to read the sentiment with clear vellum. So I swiped the back of the vellum with Gathered Twigs ink pad. Had to help it dry with my heat gun, but it gave it kind of a cool woodgrain look since I went for a lighter coverage all with horizontal swiping motion.
I created this for Week 2 of Summer of Creative Chemistry over at the Online Card Classes. Lots of inspiration to get inky! I'm also entering into the Blog Named Hero Challenge since it's all about vellum this month. I know, I know... it doesn't look so much like vellum anymore, but it is!
