For Mari-Lynn's MIX challenge today. I didn't have a lot of time this morning to read all the way through the link she directed us to, and I didn't actually use watercolours so I hope this is OK; I know I followed the principle.
Sponged strips of colour onto white card.
Stamped and embossed the flowers. Stamped the sentiment (cut in two, so I could space it across the page). Stamped and embossed the Wavy Lines. Misted with water and wiped with a cloth.
After work, I spritzed a little more water on, added a smear of gesso across the bottom and used Twinkling H2Os to add some little wildflowers, making sure I had well covered the mixed media aspect.
Matted onto black, added the die-cut bird strip and finished the black panel of with an irregular dotted white border before adding to a white base.

Wonderful criss-crossing lines in your bg sky to reinforce the curved line of the wire on which the birds are sitting. Often see this scene when birds are migrating.

Beautiful card and sentiment! The colors are wonderful and I love the birds! I need to get more of the MIX challenges in. They always look so fun, I just don't know what to do with most of them.
