Time to Tickle a Teapotter. Faith (yabbadodo) has challenged us to honor the caring spirit and bravery shown by those battling the Fort McMurray wildfire and supporting that community. Here's two aspiring fireman inspired by those heroes.
I followed the Side Step Card tutorial. The sentiment panel stamped in white, embossed and dry embossed with a brick pattern then highlighted with a white gel pen. Had this cute little firetruck in my stash and the little boys are just the right size. Found some cute color book images so the boys could have hats, a hydrant, a hose and of course a Dalmatian! Colored images with alcohol markers, added some metallic shine with gel pens and fussy cut. Adhered to panel and added a fire hose made of twine and washi tape. TFL

I always struggle with side-step (all the steps, really) and then I see cards like this which use the format so wonderfully to create great scenes. The brick panel is fantastic. Twine and washi tape to create the hose - well done you, that's clever! And most of all, while the fire-fighters are cute I love your dalmatian. I think I have seen three of them now, we have a real canine rescue crew as well as a bunch of very cute fire-fighters.
