Mary is our hostess this week, and she has given us the rich combination of Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi and Gold, with neutrals of white or vanilla. The dessert option this week is "Anything Goes."
Mary, thank you for prompting me to create my first Christmas card for 2016. I expect we'll have many Christmas cards in the gallery this week! At least for me, these colors demanded a Christmas card. So that's my choice for dessert this week!
I die cut the layers of the poinsettia and the leaves, sponged them while they were still in the dies, and then sponged the edges after they came out of the dies. I worked them with an embossing stylus and a foam pad to give the petals some curve and dimension. For the flower center, I scribbled over a large half-pearl with a VersaMark pen, covered it with gold embossing powder, and heat set. I used my favorite script set from Concord & 9th to write the word, joy, using VersaMark ink and the same gold embossing powder.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!
