Altogether I made three cards along this design which completes my quota of Christmas cards for May and sees me into June.
I cut the border from Frisket film and stuck it to white card, then scraped the chalk pastels over and rubbed in with a cloth. I spattered with gold paint, added a sentiment, edged with a gold leafing pen and mounted on white card.
A quick card, and I got three from the film mask before it started to deteriorate - the biggest problem was making sure to clean my hands of chalk dust each time round.

What a pretty design for this card, Sabrina!! I love the simplicity of it, and although I can relate to the chalk dust problem, it is not evident you had ANY problem while making these beautiful cards!

Someone has been on creativity overload...I miss your gallery for a week and there is an amazing explosion of wonderful designs, plus techniques galore. I have never heard of that masking film, and because I love how the chalks look, I will have to search for the ones that I never use. Such a lovely soft scene with just a hint of tge colors...instead of my usual explosion in the neon paint factory.
