This is for the Ways to Use It Challenge - to represent sewing on your card and looking ahead, I made this for Flag Day (USA) on June 14th. In my stash, I recently found these cut-outs (star on heart and buttons). I thought they would be good for Flag Day and to honor the making of the first American Flag. As it worked out, they are also good for the Stitches challenge. First I embossed the red panel with stripes and the blue panel with stars. Then I added paper piercing - like a needle poking fabric to make stitches - in the blue corners and around the large star and heart. I used Dimensionals on the star/heart and the four buttons. I wrapped around a knotted piece of twine representing the thread & stitches that went into the making of the first flag. No buttons on the flag, but they were added to my card to use them up, they look cute and represent the sewing theme. Fun challenge! Thanks for looking!
