WT584 - In Stitches, anything sewing related! We sure hope you come play along with us. In Stitches
This was so fun to try this great pencil resit technique found here: Pencil Resist
I stamped the image, colored with copics, added the stencil for the pencil resist and used a white pencil. Then used a dark pink distress ink to go over the pencil marks. Added some black distress ink to the edge. Mounted on brown CS and then on the DP and added the ribbon and the beads and pin. Finished off with adding some liquid pearls to the pins in the pin cushion.
Thank you for looking, I look forward to seeing what you create.

How sweet is this? I have that same HM image and have used it to make cards over the years for sewing-minded friends. I seldom pull my HM images out because it takes some dedicated time to color them, but I do love them! I love your pearl pin heads (brilliant!) and the tape measure background - into my faves : )

Wow, adding the Liquid Pearls makes those pins look so real. Ha, I see Cathy has already said that, I started typing and then glanced up. And I love that style of pincushion, brings back memories of when I first learned to sew.
I love the idea of mice small enough to fit in thimbles - they must be little baby mice .

Cook22 and I were just talking about using Liquid Pearls in tiny dots and here you are with another great example! My eye went right to it. So clever!
And then of course I absorbed the rest of the wonderful-the coloring and the layout. Your shading on the thimbles...metal things are a challenge! Just the right shade of red for the cushion...very nostalgic.

Our little house mice friends are always up to fun, and I love the way you did the heads of those pins!! Great challenge!
