This is for Lisa's WTUI challenge this week - check it out here: WT584 In Stitches.
I had fun making this, although it's way out of my normal style.
Stamped the tape-measure background on the base, after inking with several colours.
Die-cut the dress form twice from an old cereal box. The bottom layer was painted with a couple of coats of white acrylic.
For the upper layer, I used just the torso, and with double-sided adhesive, added muslin to it. Then I added a little skirt made from gathered lace and a strip of gold paper which was on my desk (and now I remember why I had a spare birdcage lying around which I used for last week's MIX challenge, I was going to use it on this!!). I used a fancy brad and some pink wire to make a necklace.
The wings are a heart which has been on my desk for...wait for it....8 years! I was making an iris-folded wedding card and this was what a cut out. I thought it made great wings with minimal trimming, and am glad to have finally found a use for it. It already had Liquid Pearls round the edges, so I just added more after trimming it.
To finish I added the sentiment and some stamped flourishes.

Sabrina I am so in love with hos this heart turned out for your "wings" They are so super stunning. The dress form and lacy skirt and the stunning brad and wire just add such a stunning elegance to this card. Than you so much for creating such a beautiful sample card for my challenge.

I checked out the challenge title while in bed ... and had the same thoughts as you - so went in a different direction. I could never have matched your funky style and the ruler background is just perfect!
