For KellyJean's great TLC today - TLC586 Erasable Ink. What a super fun challenge - it's a bit like the kissing technique, but you create your own design instead of using a stamp for the kissing part.
I thought I should start out with pigment inks as giving a better coverage on my block, and my first one turned out quite well but had quite a few smudgy patches where the ink didn't transfer - even after brayering! So for this one, I turned the whole block and card over, and walked my fingers all over it till I could see there was a good transfer of ink. There were still a few blank spots, but shhh, that could be that my block wasn't spotlessly clean, and I liked the starry effect they gave.
Trimmed my panel down, edged with a gold pen. Stamped the elephant on.
Base embossed with chevron, wiped over the embossing with Old Paper, and then spattered gold Twinkling H2Os over it.
The word is die-cut from a scrap of watercolour paper coloured with blues and found in my scrap box. It would have been too sensible to spatter it with gold BEFORE die-cutting, so of course I didn't. I cut the narrowest smidgy bits of foam tape to raise up the part that isn't stuck on the image panel, which was popped up on foam.
Thanks for such a fun challenge, I'll definitely be trying this again. I like the lino-cut effect, and so much easier than chiselling out a lino block!

Really enjoyed seeing this. I'm not so creative on my own. I get a lot of ideas from everyone here. I love that you drew the tree and then the elephant stamped darker shows up so perfectly.
