I finally got brave enough to take a photo of one of my cards using an all black CS background :-)
I love how it made the colors true and the watercolored stenciled "Happy Flowers" by STAMPlorations Pop!
I used Arches 140# Cold Press W/C paper and Zig Markers to watercolor my flowers. I taped the stencil down over the paper and colored with my markers and then spritzed with water. The colors ran together a little bit, but I liked the look. When dry I added Sakura Glaze to the centers of my flowers. Then I Heat Embossed with Versamark and White EB Powder on black CS my Happy Little Stampers "Butterfly Birthday" Sentiment. I popped up my sentiment and main image. Love the CAS, but dimensional feel of my card.
CAS Mix UP May Challenge: Heat Embossing. Susanbri and I are the new DT members on Loll Thompson and Bonnie Klass's (bon2stamp's) awesome blog Challenge :-) So fun and thrilled to on a team of such talented CAS designers with the added Mixed Media twist ! Thanks again girls for honoring me with your invitation:-)
So happy to be home after our camping vacation and organized enough to add to my SCS gallery. Hugs...

Nancy that's so beautiful, I can't believe you used a stencil on that. The lines are so crisp and awesome colours. Love the black backgrounds they really frame the flowers and the text.

Just beautiful, Ms. Nancy. I just saw this over at the MIXCAS. Congrats on being one of the designers! I can't believe this was a stencil. So impressive. It looks watercolored. Your card is beautiful, just like you.

You are right - really showcases your pretty card. Maybe that is what I need to do, too. My walls are yellow and my camera does not seem to do well with yellow unless the lighting is optimal.
