Fun challenge! I love looking thru wallpaper samples & I even have some old wp books a store gave me. But what this challenge really reminds me of is the many, many times my mother took my sis & me (little bro rarely had to go..too expensive due to likelihood of breakage thru Victorian house tours in almost every town that had one. As children, we didn't really appreciate it as much as she did. I learned a lot but to me, the decor always seemed heavy & dark. Anyway, this card is my homage to all those house tours.
I started w/ a piece of watercolored bg I had in my stash. The colors are kind of pink/violet & the paper has a texture so I stamped over it w/ the Medallion Bg using the grape ink. I like how the texture gives it a sort of worn wallpaper tapestry look. After die cutting it, I used one border die to cut the bottom & another to cut a dk violet strip to go under it. The image itself was colored w/ Copics & die cut. the little ornamental side pieces are from the die cut border.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, the inside & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Beautiful card where you did capture the feeling of wallpaper in your Victorian inspired design. The bg is lovely ....as is your beautifully colored fancy hat on its stand.
