So I have a sister who loves Horses and I got this stamp set with her in mind... When looking at the pictures of those others people had done I HAD to try it out. So off to the binders I went to find a stamp and these screamed at me when I tried to pass them by. So now for colors. Weathered wood looks like a really light gray it should work right? So I stamped in the weathered wood thinking it would be light enough.... Nope it wasn't but then... okay it is a light color. So I took out my mechanical pencil and went to tracing... it still wasn't dark enough but was starting to look sketched. Then I remembered a guy in high school who used to sketch out things in pen and used the same shade marks this stamp set came with naturally.. and so Out came a pen to be used over the pencil yet not cover it up completely. this was my result with the weathered wood color still showing just a smidge in the picture. I used it to make all the background papers and then used memento black for the saying... which by the way says on the inside... "Hill? What hill? I didn't see any hill. Did you see a hill?" with the saying under that "happy birthday to you!!!" rolling like hills. I think it looks adorable though I may add some gems to it in a pearl gray.

It looks beautiful, Rachael. A great technique for an image which would seriously challenge me personally to colour well. And the sentimentse are brilliant!
