I made this card for yesterday's Color Challenge, CC580, and today's Sketch Challenge, SC590. Vicki's (vdutchr) Color Challenge, Daffodil Island Garden, is to create using the SU colors of Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, and Garden Green. She offered dessert if leaves are included (they are part of the floral image on my card). Great color combination, Vicki! Thank you!!
I stamped the floral image in VersaMark, added white embossing powder, and heat set it. I used the ZIG pens to watercolor the floral image, using colors as close as possible to those for the challenge. I got a little heavy-handed with the blue color at first, as this was the first time I've used the ZIG pens. After completion, I fussy cut the image.
Allison's (thecircleguru) Sketch Challenge is an easy one (thanks so much Allison!). My hat is off to you, as I struggle with sketches. You do a great job developing them.
You may say I cheated a little (Lord, forgive me!), as I used the acetate as panels 1 and 3. For panel 2, I used a old SU ribbon, stamping on my "Thank You" greeting. Hopefully the card will quality for the sketch challenge.
Thanks for viewing my card!! Have a wonderful day!
Bev

Wow...what a beautiful burst of color!! Your flowers are so pretty combined with the lattice die in the backdrop. I also really like how you added the thick ribbon instead of a paper strip..great idea!

OH, Bev - this is gorgeous!! Love that embossed and watercolored flower (great minds on this one!) and your layout is lovely too - it adds to, but doesn't overpower the main image! Faved!
