Okay, I did start out with the colors today, really I did. Despite the untold number of disasters along the way, I was forced to change my strategy. I still have the colors, plus one.
You'll need to enlarge your screen by 200% in order to see the grass green (next to what once was a swing before destroying it), teal is in the dress and yellow is the hair. So how did I cheat? Well, it was sorta like this: I couldn't color the dog either yellow, teal or grass green. No, of course not. Hence, I had to cheat with coloring the dog a more, shall I say, neutral color. Hey, I think I might even end up with bonus points today for using a neutral. How bout that?
Too many mishaps got the better of my judgment. I really didn't start out with the intent of cheating. That just happens to me so often I guess I don't realize it anymore. Well, sort of ...
Have a wonderful evening, everyone

Oh, this is adorable! That's a fabulous dog image, and his brown coat is lovely ;) Love the little girl on the swing - what a great scene and a terrific card!

What a sweet card Anne!! I love the little girl and the Big Clifford dog. :>) I really like how the girl's clothing matches the bg. I do see the green too. You really did not cheat on this, and who cares if you did - it's cute!! :>)

Oh my goodness, Anne! How funny! If I was that little girl, I'd be running as if my life depended on it! (Big dogs scare me. There was a good sized dog coming at DH and me Sunday while we walked. DH said I had nothing to fear since the tail was wagging, but that didn't convince me any.) Loved your story! Sorry about the mishaps though, oh and thanks for the shout out today! I don't consider caps to mean yelling, especially when one is saying something so nice.

Definitely TOO BIG a DOG for that little gal on the swing!!Love those pierced frames and your signature little black bow! Even if you did cheat a little, no one is sending out the challenge police on you, I promise - I will defend you!!! You got all the colors that counted in, plus a neitral for good measure!!

When I first saw this Anne I thought the dog in the frame was some sort of wish projection of the little girl. Yeah, I know, kind of weird. My only excuse is that I read a lot of science fiction. In addition that little girl could have been my daughter before we finally caved and started a family life of dog ownership (more like being owned I think)! She definitely longed for a dog. Your dog is fantastic, your little girl is lovely and your challenge participation ensured! Love your card!

This is an awesome CC card. I absolutely love anything that puts a smile on my face and the did! Your blurb made me giggle out loud! My pooches think I've lost my mind! The recipient will be tickled.

LOL! Anne- you are just too funny! The card is adorable- with that big ole slobbery dog & the cutie girl. I really like your design w the open frame. And hey- I see a little green grass so let the Stampin police try to nab you- I'm pretty sure you'd have a courtroom of SCS friends lining up to testify on your behalf.

Oh, Anne, this is so sweet - even if you did sneak in a teeny tiny bit of an additional color - just a tiny bit!
I think we can all relate to the saga of starting out with a plan and then 25 mess-ups and 2 1/2 hours later, we just go with what works!! Well, you got an awesome card out of the ordeal, and as far as I know there is no such thing as the color police!!
