This was a quick card because I used a bg from my stash. I always make at least 2 of a bg because I usually think of something I wish I had done when I use the first piece. First I sponged white acrylic paint (thined with water) through a baroque stencil and a hexagon stencil. Then I sponged all different Distress inks over the white...it acts like a resist, only not as strong. I wanted more of a blurred look. Added some perfect pearl dots, a ribbon (rare for me since tying a, nice bow is about as challenging as running the Boston marathon), distressed the edges and added the die cut words. TGL, Francie

I always love your pearly dots, Francie. And that scrunched ribbon looks beautiful - personally I identify with what you say about tying a nice bow, but this one looks wonderful to me. I'm so glad you had time for some "art therapy" today - even with a background from your box of treasures.

Love your card! And I'm so glad you explained the procedure. I've NEVER worked with stencils or acrylic paint but your stunning creation makes me want to run right out and buy some so I can try this technique too.
