I am so far behind with this week's challenges!! I'm just responding to Allison's (thecircleguru) sketch challenge, SC589, which was great, as usual!
This is my first card created with the ODBD's April release of it's sewing/quilting products. I initially was intimidated by all the die cut pieces for the "quilt". I'm not one who quilts so I wasn't sure how to arrange the pieces. However, I got through the process unscathed!
I do not have a scallop border die of the size needed, so I had to improvise by cutting and gluing border pieces together for the sketch.
The card was fun to create, but it took me quite some time because of all the small pieces. But it is worth it! If interested, closeups of the card and further details can be found on my website.
TFL and commenting!!

What a beautiful quilt block, Bev. Great work on piercing together a border, but most of all I love those little scissors. I'm smiling because you have two... I don't think it's possible to have too many scissors.

Nothing is more comforting to me then to snuggle up in a old quilt. This card is beautiful and reminds me of my daddy's baby quilt. It is a red spinning star. I've spent many a day snuggled in it. Thanks for the memories and sharing your beautiful star quilt card.

I too love quilts and have one that was my grandmother's and is almost worn to pieces. It is so soft and has the most faded and beloved patterns on it. I love your card! It is the epitome of 'motherliness' if you know what I mean. Great pattern choices and inventiveness in making your border. Terrific!

So glad you were able to walk away unscathed by your card's construction. I can understand how difficult it must have been to work with all those smaller pieces, but, oh, the end result: Yeah, I'm really lovin' it with all the necessary gear to go along with it. You did good, girl.

Goodness, what wonderful dies you used for your quilt block and the scissors are just too cute.
