I coloured this image yesterday while DH was working at my desk - and thought I'd wait till this morning in case I could use it on a card for the MIX challenge. My nested shapes are pretty basic - I went with very simple matting of my rectangular image onto a rectangular base.
Image stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine Black, coloured with Inktense pencils. I added some Stickles highlights.
Background - I added a pale wash with the Inktense pencils, and then speckled it with a stamp from Timeless Textures. I was trying to add a hint of sunshine in the top, my pencils were too faint but I think I overdid it with the Stickles and Wild Honey.
I used a simple border die to frame down each side of the image panel.

I don't think you can overdo it with the stickles....I really liked the gold as soon as I saw your card. You did a wonderful job with your intense pencils and the speckled bg gives off just the right touch to bring attention to that beautiful peacock.

Your coloring is incredible, Sabrina. That image, all by itself, takes center stage. Love the added colors to make your peacock really become your focal point.
