I wanted to make a card with a feather...and I thought I'd play along with Judy's TLC from yesterday, but I don't think I knew where to stop on this card...
As evidenced by the fact that I ran out of space in the Accessories field!! Never done that before.
So - I die-cut the feather from a scrap piece of Brusho background, and sponged it lightly with Peacock Feathers over the ribs and Vintage Photo round the edges, to highlight the embossing.
My base uses the Layered Gesso Background tutorial. I started last night by gessoing my base, then stamping French Foliage leaves and spatter with Rangers Archival.
Before work this morning I added the acrylic paints, some more gesso, the heat-embossed sentiment and then the stencilled pearlescent circles. I also painted the edges and sprinkled glitter over.
After work I pierced some of the circles, and because the whole thing looked very flat, I added some modelling paste with a TCW stencil. When it was dry, I used luster rub-ons, also round the edge of the card. Still looked flat, so I pulled out an old Fiskars texture plate and added some swirls - and them more luster rub-ons.
Still very flat, so I cut a lot of little butterflies from the rest of the piece of Brusho watercolour paper (thank you Sue for being my post-office!!!) and added them, Then I added Stickles and Liquid Pearl dots, and finally I added my feather and some cheesecloth.
Feelings about it - mixed!!

Oh my gosh...I love the title of this card...too funny. I actually like the colours and texture of the card, and the sentiment is inspiring! Someone will be very happy to receive this I'm sure.
