This is one of my four Christmas for April. Susan gave us a wonderful theme of Peace on Earth. I chose to use doves on each of my cards.
I love this beautiful MB die so much I used it to make two of my cards for this month. For this card, The die was cut from freezer paper and ironed onto watercolor paper. Several strokes of metallic watercolor (including gold, bronze and copper) were painted across the mask. When the piece was totally dry, I ironed back over it for just a few second and removed the mask. ( I used a parchment paper "pressing cloth" to protect my iron and the watercolor.)
I painted the doves with a couple of layers of clear Wink of Stella and trimmed the piece to size. Its matted on a deep copper metallic paper. The card base is a heavy metallic paper; I added a few score lines to the front to mimic the diagonal strokes in the image.
As always, thanks for looking!

Wow, a lot of steps making this creative and beautiful card, Jody Lynn. I've never heard of placing freezer wrap over WC paper. Stunning card. So unique and creative.

I had to look at the other card to convince myself that this was the same die cut. This is spectacular. I love how your bg turned out, and the score lines are just perfect. What wonderful, warm, rich colors.

What a wonderful technique - thanks for the explanation. I'd love to try it. And thanks for playing along with my proposal of the peace theme for the April CCC.
