Hello, sweet friends! This is a very different card for me in several ways. First, I used a CardMaps sketch from PageMaps.com, which was a real challenge for me. I don't often participate in sketch challenges, but it was good for me to get out of my "comfort zone." Second, I am not a green person, but it seemed to be the best DP I could find. I used this adorable vase of folk art flowers and a sentiment from another clear stamp - and then I worked at staying as close to the sketch as possible (although I probably could have allowed myself a bit more artistic license - hehe!). With the many dies I used, including the sweet little layered button array, this is a very mail friendly card.
And the big news is that Power Poppy is two years old today, and Marcella Hawley is celebrating with a big sale and a special birthday digi available only this weekend. So head on over to the party.
On a personal note, I have had the best week I've had in a very long time and have felt good for four days in a row. I praise God and thank you for your loving prayers, cards, notes, and pm's. They have meant so much to me, and I continue to be so blessed by the warm and caring SCS community! And my DH has decided to cancel the knee replacement surgery (for now) after seeing the surgeon last week. Needless to say, he is now a happy camper. But as I told him, "I'm watching you, fella!" Hehe!
As always, thank you so much for taking a closer look, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Stop by my blog for more details, including the CardMaps sketch. Big hugs, sweet friends! You are loved, and I am so blessed by you all!

Oh my! You did go out of your comfort zone and you did good! This is really pretty, Cheryl. And I am so happy to hear you may have turned the corner and will be able to enjoy life again. (Maybe you'll bless us with more of your lovely cards.)
I am glad to hear that you have been feeling well. I already commented on your blog earlier, but I see you added some more information here too. I especially like the different border treatments on the top and bottom of the image.
I do like sketches, but sometimes I think I use *too much* artistic license with them and then have to hope I don't offend the designer! So I have been trying to stick closer to sketches lately.

Cheryl I think your card is perfectly wonderful. I love the dp and the dies, especially that button. The greens look fresh and pretty, no need to be a "green person" to appreciate how lovely they look on your card. Your coloring is, as always, beautiful. Glad you are feeling better. Linda

Oooo - I love this, Cheryl! That image is colored perfectly and the colors just match that dp. I had to look twice when you said that the button was a die. I didn't realize it, because it looked so real in the picture. What a great addition - and flat for mailing too... Love that!! Wonderful job with the sketch!!

Sweet child of God, you are so loved by so many! I am so elated to hear you've had a few good days. I thought about you today. My prayers are for continued good days ahead, sweet Cheryl. We are all so blessed by your comforting and encouraging words. I'm so glad you're on the receiving end now. What a gorgeous card. I love the dsp you used and think it pairs so well with your floral image. Hugs to you. even though I've not had oodles of time online, I still pray for the restoration of your health. Good thing you've decided to keep an eye on your DH. Knee surgery is not an easy surgery to go through. Hugs and love, Anne
