I decided I wanted to make another version of my card that I made for the color challenge this week (found here if you are interested), but with a kraft base and using the technique of stamping white pigment ink as a base for other inks - when stamping on kraft cs.
This time, using kraft cs as my base, I stamped the wreath and flowers using white pigment ink first and then the desired color. I stamped slightly offset so the color would show and you get this cool third color with this technique. I did some masking so it wouldn't become a muddy mess. Embossed the sentiment in white, and then dry embossed a border panel across the bottom, added my ribbon, matted the panel and assembled. Added some candy dots, and some stickles to the blue flowers (it appears just darker and textured in the photo, but is sparkly IRL), and added white gel pen details to some of the flowers, leaves and wreath. I love the pastel look you get with this technique. This also fits with TLC578: at least 3 layers.
BEAUTIFUL! I love the white on the kraft and how you offset the colored images to give the appearance of white outlines around your flowers and berries. The white accents you added look great as well! Soooo pretty! Thanks for joining us over at the Mod Squad Challenge this week!
