Karen is our hostess this week, and she has invited us to make a card using the lovely combination of Blushing Bride, Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron. The dessert option is to use a die cut on your card. I get four helpings of dessert—the stitched white panel, the green scalloped panel, the flower and the greeting. ;-)
This card is also for TLC578. Jenn asked us to make a card with at least 3 layers. Check!
I used a design and technique shown recently by Jennifer McGuire, but I used a different stamp set and of course, different colors, and a few other changes. This is actually attempt #2, but as usual, the mistakes were an opportunity for embellishment. The first attempt had a pretty ugly smear, so I cut off a good strip and decorated the inside of my card with it! The die-cut flower and greeting, as well as the scalloped edge, are covered with a layer of Wink of Stella. Gosh, I love that stuff!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!
