There's a little birdy bit more than the trio of Spring colours which Janelle asked for in the MIX challenge last Friday, but I'm sneaking this in and hoping it's OK. The background is the first one I made on Friday for the challenge - and then after I gathered the seam binding and stitched it on, it just didn't look right with the diecut flower I was aiming to use - so I put it aside and came back to it over the weekend. The background was made with Brushos and a stencil - and the seam binding was coloured by mopping up the leftover liquid Brushos. When it was dry, I pulled a thread to gather it, and stitched it on to the card base.
The bird has been sitting on my desk, coloured with Inktense pencils, so I just added Glossy Accents to his beak. The grass is Core-dinations embossed with a woodgrain ef and sanded. Before adding all the details, I used white acrylic paint with the Raindrop stencil, and sprinkled glitter all over it.
When dry, I added the grass, the bird and the umbrella, and a border done with 3 colours of Sharpies, and then Glossy Accents over the whole lot. The umbrella is curved, with quite a bit of foam in the centre. The wording is old, old stickers, I think they might have been Making Memories. They got a bit lost on the background so I had to edge each one with a black pen.

This is a wonderful card. It reminds me of the song "Baby the Rain Must Fall". What wonderful details and elements you have on here!
Your crazy bird doesn't look so crazy, just fun and interesting with his print body and glossy beak. Great job.

This is such a great card!! I love all the steps that you took to create such a special background to match up with your "old, old stickers" - they sure made for a great sentiment. Love the 'grass' and the glittery raindrops, and that crazy bird! he may have been sitting on your desk, but it looks as though he was MADE for this card!!

So many things to like about this mixed card! I am happy to have found it in the favs thread. I love how the bird is done, with such interesting colors. The tiny little detail on the eyes adds so much. Those raindrops...fantastic! I want those raindrops coming down on Oregon. Love the wonky sentiment with old letters...just stellar.
