This is my submission for Monday's TLC577, Smackin' Acetate Technique, and CAS368, Spring Critters.
The Smackin' Acetate Technique is featured on the the land behind the lamb (it took me three tries). The lamb represents a spring critter. I suspect most wouldn't call a lamb a critter, however, having been raised on a small farm, every spring we looked forward to the births our little "spring critters"; lambs, chicks, calves, piglets, foals, etc. Thus, my "spring critter" is a lamb.
As for the rest of the design, I sewed (or tried to) yellow flowers around the border of the card to replicate the yellow flowers around the lamb, which I colored with copics.
There is more details about the true representation of this card on my site, if interested.

Oh my gosh Bev this is fabulous. Who would have thought a technique called Smakin' Acetate could result in such a beautiful Easter card. Everytime I scroll back I see something I missed. Your stitching is brilliant and you have convinced me that lambs qualify as Spring critters.

Your lovely sewn border caught my eye right away, seeing as sewing just a straight line is a challenge for me. The lamb with the copic colored flowers is so pretty, and I love that shade of lavender.

Spectacular in these soft spring colours. Love your sweet little lamb and your stitching on the border works well with the rest of the design. I love it!
