I decided to try my hand at watercolor since I was inspired by so many talented painters on SCS. I followed this wonderful tutorial by Kristina Werner. I needed a sympathy card for a dear friend. I chose an image that did not need a lot of painting. After painting the background, I heat embossed the image in white and added color to the blossoms. The sentiment is an RAK from Sallie. Thanks Sallie! Thanks for stopping by.
I am also entering this in Bonnie and Loll's CAS Mix-Up Challenge here. Join the fun there!

Absolutely gorgeous card,Nancy. Thanks for the link. I've bookmarked it to try myself. You're an astute student! For your first venture, you've created a remarkable card. It's perfect as a sympathy card.

There is not a style you can't master, Nancy. The soft, subtle watercolored bg looks lovely with the embossed and painted flowers. The gold sentiment adds just the tight amount of glitz. This has a wonderful, comforting feel. Beautifully designed.
