I read "Call the Midwife" (1st book) when we were away and as a friend is expecting a baby soon - this card is for her. Call the Midwife is set in Poplar area of London in the late fifties / early sixties. The midwife's mode of transport was a bicycle and the people lived in cramped buildings with washing hanging between houses and shared washrooms. I hope this card has captured a flavour of the book. This is the only bicycle stamp I have other than Penny Farthing so that is why I used it. I decided the midwife had a flat tyre and had to hitch a ride!

I really like the faux wood background and I enjoy making them. Cute card based on your book.
