The CAS Challenge today is to have an element extend beyond the edge of the card base. My yellow balloon rises just above the top edge of the card. I also had the MIX Challenge from last Friday in mind when I made this by using only primary colors.
I had a water color bg in my stash (I tend to make a bunch at a time for use later on) & I used the part of it that only had the red & yellow. ThereÂ’s a little blue creeping in on the right, but not much. The two hot air balloons were stamped, colored w/ Copics, over stamped w/ Versafine then fussy cut. I also added one extra center panel (a little elevated) on each balloon. The little curved white panel w/ the window cut out was a left over so I cut the bottom of the w/c panel to match. Added the greeting & some sequins & done!
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, the inside & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

So pretty and bright, Julie! Great water color back ground. I do the same thing when I have my Brushos or paints out, I make several backgrounds for my stash.

I love this colorful creation, Julie. The added curved piece helped make this such a pretty design. Love your balloons.
