I made this card for today's technique challenge to use both the positive and the negative of a die. I recently purchased these feather dies and haven't used them very much, so I really wanted to do something with a feather.
I cut it out of wood grain dp and stamped it with a mnt. scene. Then I colored it with prisma water color pencils. I cut four or five more feathers out of white cs and glued them all together to give it a little more heft. Then I spritzed the negative piece of wood grain with gold shimmer mist. It looks really nice, although I don't think it shows well in the picture. Then I used my scor pal to add a frame. I took a piece of scrap burnt orange cs and layered underneath the feather. I offset my die cut just a little to show the back ground color. I added the eagle and the verse from Matthew 6:26. I stamped the rest of the verse on the inside. I stamped the eagle and added a few brown pearls and called it done!
Thanks for taking a peek!

So creative!! Love the mountain scene on the feather. What a clever idea. The wood-grain looks great. The eagle flying over the feather is awesome. Wonderful take on the 3D Die Cut challenge. TFS
