My brother has been eagerly awaiting his one year sobriety milestone and I needed to acknowlege it. I am so proud (and relieved) he has accomplished this.
This was a tough card to dream up, I just kept adding to it....
I went on the computer, copied the dictionary definitions for proud and sucess and printed them in light gray ink on white cardstock. It was too white so I had to dirty it up. The dictionary words don't show much in the scan but they completely cover the white paper.
I dragged the twill through the olive ink pad and stamped congratulations on with Stazon black. My husband found an old Dymo labeler in the garage, so I had to use it.

It's a beautiful card Snellybelle! I just made my FIL a congratulations card for his 27th year of sobriety! I found the Serenity Prayer at Michael's, and quick made a card up. He loved it! Congrats to your brother. A year is a HUGE accomplishment!
SnellyBelle, GORGEOUS card...WONDERFUL occasion! My 27th is coming up next month, and I can tell you that the first one is the BIGGEST, BESTEST feeling! You rock for being so supportive! Hugs to both of you!
