I love Karen Dunbrook's cards where she paints the stamps with Brushos so was happy to see that she posted this week's Technique Lover's Challenge and listed the steps for doing her technique.
I tried doing it on and off all week but it is tricky getting it to turn out nicely. I tried with both rubber and clear stamps, and rubber definitely works better for me. I also tried a La Blanche stamp and it didn't turn out at all.
After all my attempts, I finally got this image that I was happy with. So happy in fact that I decided not to pull any of the colour out from the outline and not to embellish it at all, so just added a small sentiment and cut it out with a stitched square die.
Definitely a technique to keep practicing!

Susan, you may have had to try many times, but the end result is fabulous!!! Love the colors and that you left it completely bare of embellishments etc. Love it, faved it!

I am so happy you had a chance to try it out mf. I think the trick is not to add too much water so it is still grainy enough to stamp with.
I love how you card turned out....bringing you happy news too... Congrats, your card is aCAS FAVORITEthis week!!

Those petunias took the colors quite well. I totally get it is much harder than it would seem. Happy you kept after it, what with Karen's lovely cards as inspiration.
