It was snowing when DH left the house this morning - so glad I'm on a day off. I added warmth to my morning with Lydia's Primaries MIX challenge.
Stamped the flower, masked it and stamped the stem, then the grid using Smokey Grey. I used pencils for colouring, blending blues and yellow to get the green stem. Then I put the mask back and stamped Wonderfully Worn with Broken China, and the little spatter from Timeless Textures with Liquid Pearls. Serendipity, the gap in the grid was just perfect to position the stamped sentiment. The die-cut has a light dusting of Stickles, but light conditions here aren't exactly bright today!

The primaries couldn't look more lovely than mixed to bring forth this beautiful cone flower (I had many in my Virginia garden). Using the liquid pearl was a great idea to add even more texture, interest, and dimension as well. Well done, Sabrina!

Love the coneflower, Sabrina, and the grid. You've made such a pretty card for the MIX challenge.

Very pretty. Love how you made the green! Maybe I'll use my colored pencils today...they need dusting off, hee!
Love your grid and Liquid pearl spots too!
