This is a card I made for my totally awesome boyfriend for his Birthday. He loves retro video games, and his birthday this year is all about video games so I had a great idea for this card based on 8-bit pixel images.
Essentially I did a search for various images with the title 8-bit image grid. It lays out each image on a grid. Each square is 1/4". To save time and effort I cut into 1/4" straps then measured each piece accordingly as to how many pixels in each piece. It's a lot of cutting and gluing. I even looked up anow alphabet to copy.
I do wish I had had a 1/4" square punch for this, but I made it work with what I had.
I folded an 8.5x11 piece of black cardstock in half, thenot cut another piece, 8.5 × 6, scoring at 5.5 along the long edge to create a flap to adhere to the card so I can half a tri-panel card. The sentiments were both on 8×5 sized cardstock pieces, the Birthday layer adhere in the center over top the flap I glued to the edge of the card, and the piece laid out in front is actually on the front of the card.
A lot of busy work. It took me 6 or 7 hours in the end because I didn't know exactly how to go about this at first. You will get glue all over too. :-)
TFL! I can't wait to give this to him! <3
