This is for Lisa's super fun Ways to Use It challenge - "Give us a laugh". It will come as no surprise that this is yet another crazy bird card. Here we have Claudette, great-aunt of Odette and Bernadette - you can see where the girls got their fine dress sense from!!
The background is from the left over background that Odette and Bernie appeared on a couple of weeks ago. The usual smack & squirt technique using distress inks and lots of water were used. The stenciling was done with diluted Dylusions paint.
Claudette was stamped in my MISTI with Versafine ink; I left the rubber stamp in place while I removed the image and painted her with Distress inks and an aqua pen. Before fussy cutting, I put her back into MISTI and restamped to sharpen up all the edges. I have run out of the Stampotique boots, so these are a knock off boots, actually each boot and leg are one piece. On a piece of cardstock I drew the boots and legs, fussy cut then glued into place. I dislocated one leg to bend it back. The lace skirt is from a beautiful assortment of lace sent to me by JodyLynn.
Lots of liquid pearls, a little floral stamp and a doodled border were added before adhering the panel to a kraft card base. I had a heap of fun making this, thank you for looking.

Love this old broad!!! What CLASS!!!!! And she has such a look on her face. She knows where she's going in this world. Love the leggings. Thank you for them...I've missed them. That hat is SO Claudette! I know, I've met her before. The skirt is Absolutely Delicious! And the boots! What can I say about the boots? You're a Fantastic bootmaker! You may want to consider a side job. Love the branches with the berries and the delicate little pearl bedecked flowers she's stomping on as she's hurrying off to meet her date. Life begins at 80!

.... you just add to add that last crack, didn't you?. Here I was delighting in your work of art when I finally made it to the bottom and saw that snide comment. Okay, Okay, Okay, I get it. I'm good with that (not really) but I'll overlook your last and final sentiment on this card because you did such a fabulous job. Wonderfully fun and creative, Ms. Susie. You did good.
