This is for two challenges: Featured Stamper for Jenny's Flowers and Free 4 All to use pink. Jenny's gallery is amazing. As I was scrolling through, this card caught my eye. Thinking of You by JennyAlia at Splitcoaststampers
Her image was so similar to one I had received in a swap. It was actually on my desk so I could ponder what to do with it. Jenny gave me the inspiration.
I liked her CAS design with a white on white panel. I used punched flowers as she did but changed them to pink and the centers to rhinestones. I turned the orientation to landscape, did not include a bird, and used a different "thinking of you" stamp which is punched out and raised up. As I watercolored, I decided to be freer with the brush and not worry so much about not going outside the lines. It was nice to let it flow a little bit more. I like how Jenny's branch was pointed upward. This image was pre-stamped a little downward so it left the top part looking empty. I added a thin strip of Regal Rose CS and scored a couple lines beneath it for interest without being distracting. Thank you, Jenny for sharing your beautiful artwork with us and inspiring our cards. Loving those little pink blooms. I am so hoping that means you are sending us spring. As I am looking out the window and watching it snow, I'm ready for spring. So please send it this way. Cute card.
You posted on my card that used the same FCs card. So I had to come visit and see what you created. I love what you did using a branch stamp, coloring it and adding the pink little flowers. Very pretty!
